Toby is a writer who likes to explore complex characters with emotional development at the heart of the story. He particularly likes to approach this through the genre of black comedy-drama. His writing always aims to find the comedy in tragedy and capture how humans often use humour as a coping mechanism. He has written for stage and screen and seen work optioned and produced in the UK, US, Canada and Switzerland.
